Module 1 - What is Reading?
In this module, learners are introduced to the world of reading in a simple and engaging way. Children will discover what reading is, why it is important, and how we can begin to read by looking at pictures and understanding meaning. Through guided exploration with Teacher F and her Beulahland friends, learners will begin to see themselves as readers.

Module 2 - From Sounds to Letters!
In this module, learners begin to explore the exciting world of sounds. Children will learn that sounds are all around us and that letters represent sounds. Through fun listening and sound-making activities, learners will begin to connect sounds with letters, preparing them for the exciting journey of reading words in Beulahland.

Module 3 - Meet Soma the Sunbird (the first Beulanimal Adventure)
The adventure continues beyond the Reading Corner! Join Teacher F and Modupe as they explore the Beulah Jungle and meet Soma the Sunbird, the very first Beulanimal. Along the way, children will discover how sounds can be found all around us and how learning can become an exciting adventure. This special lesson marks the beginning of a brand-new journey into the wonderful world of the Beulanimals!

What did we discover today?

🌿 Today, Teacher F and Modupe explored the Beulah Jungle for the very first time.

🐦 There, they met Soma the Sunbird, a cheerful Beulahbird who loves to sing.

Did you know?

Ordinary birds tweet and chirp, but Beulahbirds can talk, teach, and help young Beulahlanders learn new things!

👂 Soma taught us her special sound:

We listened carefully and practised making the sound together.

😊 Sounds are all around us. We hear them when people talk, when animals make noises, and even when the wind blows through the trees.

📚 Letters help us write down sounds. When we put sounds together, they make words. And when we can read words, we can read!

🌟 Soma is the first Beulanimal friend we have met in the Beulah Jungle, and there are many more Beulanimals waiting to meet us.
